Kenneth Wise heads into the outdoor track season after an impressive collegiate debut as a high jumper for the Rutgers-Camden indoor team. Wise, who became the first high jumper in the history of the Rutgers-Camden indoor track team, established the program standard with his jump of 6-5.5 in his first meet, finishing second in the competition at the Winter Invitational (Dec. 8, 2007).

By the end of the season, Wise had raised his record to 6-7, a mark he hit while capturing the New Jersey Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship Feb. 25. That title earned him All-NJAC First Team honors in the high jump.

In his final indoor meet of the season, Wise jumped 6-4.25 to finish ninth at the ECAC Championships March 8.

Wise was a track and basketball letterman at Haddon Township High School. A team MVP in track, he earned All-Colonial Conference First Team honors as a high jumper in 2007, when the Courier-Postnewspaper also recognized him with All-Group 2 First Team honors. He went on to capture the state Group 2 title.

Wise also was an Honor Roll student at Haddon Township High School.

Ken is the son of Ken and Arden Wise of Oaklyn.
