        Cameran Bailey joins the Rutgers-Camden track program after an outstanding combined scholastic career in football and track, where he earned three varsity letters apiece while attending both Oakland (CA) Technical High School and Mesa (AZ) High School. At Oakland Tech, he captured the city title in the shot put, while at Mesa he was an All-City defensive lineman and was honored as an Athlete Scholar of the Month in April, 2006, by the Arizona Republic newspaper.

        Bailey was listed in Who’s Who Among American Scholars and graduated eighth in his senior class. During his first year at Rutgers-Camden, he has been an active volunteer with NJPIRG.

        Bailey’s hobbies include watching foreign films, anime and reading manga. He also is an avid football fan.

        Bailey is an Engineering major at Rutgers-Camden. Following graduation, he plans to live and work overseas, preferably in Japan, and make his Hajj to Mecca.

        Cameran is the son of Jerry Bailey and Leanna Karim of Mesa, Arizona.
