Nancy O'Neill, who is starting her first season as the head coach of the women's club lacrosse team, is looking forward to bringing her tradition of commitment to excellence to Rutgers University-Camden.  This spring, the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Department is introducing a new club sport to its lineup, women's lacrosse.  Although it will be a club sport to start, in the Spring of 2010 the team will compete in the NJAC (New Jersey Athletic Conference).

Coach O'Neill is a Collingswood grad and was a standout All-American player at Trenton State. While at Trenton State she participated in lacrosse and field hockey.  This is where she was named Defense Player of the Decade and was a two- time All-American.   She wants those interested in playing lacrosse to know that no experience is required. She will teach those who want to learn. Coach O'Neill believes this season, even as a club sport, women's lacrosse will begin a long tradition here at Rutgers-Camden.

O'Neill resides in Collingswood,N.J., with her husband Jamie and their five daughters.
