Jerika Burgos returns for her second year with the Rutgers-Camden softball program after appearing in eight games last season, mainly as a pinch-runner. Burgos scored three runs for the Raptors, coming against Webster University (March 9), Rowan University (April 24, Game 1) and Rutgers-Newark (April 28, Game 1). The run against Rowan came in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Lady Raptors rallied for four runs to pull out a 6-5 victory.

        A Vineland High School graduate who performs volunteer work at homeless shelters, Burgos is a Business Management major at Rutgers-Camden.

        Jerika is the daughter of Selynda Rivera and Edwin Burgos of Vineland.
