Cristina Petrutz captured a pair of varsity softball letters at Camden County College, where she earned All-Garden State Athletic Conference Second Team honors. In two years with the Cougars, Petrutz went a combined 23-for-24 in stolen bases and had 16 RBIs. She hit .371 in 2007 after compiling a .438 average during the 2006 campaign. Over two years at Camden County, Petrutz hit .404 (72-for-178).
This season, Petrutz will patrol center field for the Lady Raptors, where she will put her speed and athleticism on display. During her scholastic career at Sterling High School, Petrutz captured four varsity letters on the Silver Knights’ track and field team. She earned team MVP honors and was named Best Female for Track and Field.
Petrutz also was a Principal’s List student and a member of the Italian Honor Society at Sterling. An Education major at Rutgers-Camden with a concentration in History, Petrutz plans to become an elementary school teacher.
Cristina is the daughter of Rosaria and Nicky Petrutz of Somerdale.
