A transfer from William Paterson University, Brooke Keenan was a two-sport star at Lenape High School, where she earned three varsity letters in basketball and two in softball. Her Lenape softball coach was Mike Medrick, who begins his first season as an assistant coach at Rutgers-Camden in 2008.
On the softball diamond, Keenan captured Second Team Olympic Conference American Division honors as a junior at Lenape in 2005. During her senior season, she earned First Team Olympic American and added honors from the Courier-Post newspaper on the South Jersey All-Group 4 Second Team.
Keenan was a basketball team MVP at Lenape, where she earned a pair of First Team All-Olympic Conference American Division honors and one Second Team honor. She also was named to the All-Group 4 Second Team during the 2004-05 season.
During her one year at William Paterson, Keenan played on the Pioneers’ basketball team, where she appeared in 23 games. She averaged 2.5 points and 1.0 rebounds, while collecting 12 assists and 11 steals in 9.0 minutes of playing time per game.
Brooke plans to study Nursing at Rutgers-Camden. She is the daughter of James and Debbie Keenan of Mt. Laurel.
