Rachel Minton was a multi-sport star at Palmyra High School, where she lettered in soccer, track and cross country. Her finest season in track came during the spring 2006 campaign when she won the South Group 1 championship in both the 1,600- and 3,200-meeter runs and went on to finish fifth in the NJSIAA State Group 1 Track and Field Championships at 1,600 meters. She was named to the All-Group 1 First Team at 1,600 meters by the Courier-Postnewspaper.
As a sophomore in 2005, Minton finished fifth at 1,600 meters at the South Group 1 championships.
Minton received Most Courageous Athlete honors as a senior soccer player, when she also was named to the Burlington County Times’ All-South Jersey Second Team.
