        Heather Thom was one of eight Lady Raptors to play in all 20 games during her freshman season in 2006. She made 11 starts for Rutgers-Camden, including five starts in the Raptors’ last six games, and helped the team post seven shutouts.

        Thom made her collegiate debut in the 2006 season opener, when the Raptors posted a 4-0 victory over Bridgewater College (Sept. 2). Her first start came in a 3-2 victory at Cabrini College (Sept. 6).

       Thom had a standout scholastic career at Gateway Regional High School, where she earned three varsity letters apiece in soccer, basketball and track. She received a Coaches Award in each sport, winning for soccer (2004-05), basketball (2005-06) and track (2005-06), and also was a member of the National Honor Society and the World Language Honor Society.

        Thom capped her scholastic career being named as Gateway’s Outstanding Female Athlete for the 2005-2006 school year.

        A Mathematics major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to become a Math teacher, Heather is the daughter of Mike and Bev Rumaker of National Park.
