Rutgers-Camden’s Amato named
to d3kicks.com Team of the Week
CAMDEN (Oct. 10, 2006) – Rutgers University-Camden junior back Chris Amato (Stratford, NJ/Sterling) was named to the sixth weekly d3kicks.com Team of the Week it was announced today.

Amato is the second Scarlet Raptor to earn that honor this season. Junior midfielder Rodney Guishard (Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) was named to the second weekly d3kicks.com Team of the Week on Sept. 12.
In three games last week, Amato helped the Scarlet Raptors post a 2-0-1 record, including a 1-1 tie against powerful Arcadia University Oct. 2. Amato scored the Raptors’ lone goal in that game.
Amato also had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Philadelphia Biblical University Oct. 5 and helped the Raptors post a shutout in a 2-0 win over Lincoln University Oct. 7.
A transfer from Camden County College who is in his first year at Rutgers-Camden, Amato has started all 14 of the Scarlet Raptors’ games at left back. He has produced four goals and two assists for 10 points, tied for fourth on the team in scoring. He notched his fourth goal in an 8-0 win over John Jay College of Criminal Justice Monday.
A Business Management major at Rutgers-Camden, Chris is the son of Laura and Lou Amato of Stratford.
Rutgers-Camden takes an 8-3-3 record into Wednesday night’s New Jersey Athletic Conference game at Richard Stockton College. The game, originally scheduled for 8 p.m., has been moved to a 7 p.m. start.
