After beginning his collegiate studies at Mary Washington University, Matt Lanouette transferred to Rutgers-Camden, where he will make his collegiate soccer debut this fall.
Lanouette earned eight varsity letters at Hopewell Valley Central High School, including three apiece in soccer and baseball and two in basketball. He had a phenomenal senior season while leading his soccer team to the Central Jersey Group 3 title. He was named the Colonial Valley Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year and captured All-State First Team recognition from both the Trenton Times and the Trentonian newspapers. Lanouette was named to the 2005 Top 45 All-State Boys Soccer Second Team by the Soccer Coaches Association of New Jersey and earned All-Conference First Team recognition.
As a junior, Lanouette was named to the All-Conference Second Team and added All-State Honorable Mention.
