Raptor of the Week - May 5, 2008

Travis Stewart
(Runnemede, NJ/Triton Regional)
Junior track star Travis Stewart turned in a phenomenal performance at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship May 3 in Pomona. Stewart earned First Team All-NJAC honors by winning the 10,000-meter run in a time of 32:49.29 and later added a second-place finish at 5,000 meters, breaking his own program record with a time of 15:23.68. His two events produced 18 points for the Scarlet Raptors, who finished with 66 points for a sixth-place finish. The Raptor of the Week honor is the fifth one for Stewart during the 2007-08 school year. He won the honor four times during his brilliant cross country season last fall. |
