Catherine Tadeja

Catherine Tadeja
(Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East)

Senior libero Catherine Tadeja capped her record-setting career in style while leading the Rutgers-Camden volleyball team to the semifinals in its first ECAC Metro/Upstate playoff berth in program history. Tadeja broke her own single-match record with 52 digs in a quarterfinal win over Hunter College before adding 15 digs in a semifinal loss to Elmira College. She averaged 9.57 digs for the week. Tadeja was one of the key cogs in the finest volleyball season in Rutgers-Camden history, helping the Scarlet Raptors post a program-record 24-8 mark, their first-ever berth in the New Jersey Athletic Conference championship match and their first ECAC playoff berth. She broke her own single-season program records with 724 digs and an average of 6.30 digs per set on the way to earning honors as the NJAC Defensive Player of the Year and NJAC Honorable Mention. She finished her career with program marks of 2,128 digs and a 5.28 digs per set average. In addition to today’s Raptor of the Week honor, Tadeja was the school’s Co-Raptor of the Week on Sept. 17.
