Mike Ryan
(Marlton, NJ/Cherokee)
Ryan, a rookie who has played both midfield and forward, has been a key cog in leading the men’s soccer team to a 13-2-2 record and a season-long spot in the national rankings. The team’s leading scorer with nine goals and three assists for 27 points, he had two goals and one assist during the Scarlet Raptors’ 2-0 week. Ryan assisted on Rutgers-Camden’s first goal in a 2-1 win over Haverford College Oct. 17 and notched the last two goals – including the game winner – in a 3-1 conference win at Ramapo College Oct. 20. He is tied for the team lead with three game-winning goals and has helped the Scarlet Raptors to a second-place spot in the NJAC race entering the final week of conference play.
Ryan, a two-time NJAC Rookie of the Week (Sept. 24 and Oct. 15), also shared Co-Raptor of the Week honors with teammate Mitch Grotti on Sept. 10. Koloski, meanwhile, becomes the fourth different Raptor of the Week honoree from the volleyball program this season.
