Junior Morgan Halbruner earns her second Raptor of the Week honor this fall after a phenomenal hitting week while leading the Rutgers-Camden volleyball team to a 4-0 record. Halbruner collected 42 kills and had a .458 hitting percentage in victories over William Paterson University, Penn State-Abington, Arcadia and York (NY). She hit .517 with 17 kills in a four-set New Jersey Athletic Conference win at Paterson Sept. 27. She collected a total of 25 kills as the Raptors defeated three teams at Penn State-Abington Saturday, saving her best for last with a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage (11 kills in 11 attempts) against York. The middle hitter/right side player also added 10 assists, two digs and two assisted blocks during the week. Halbruner owns a team-leading 157 kills and is hitting .336, sparking the Scarlet Raptors to a sensational 12-3 start to the season. She also was named the school’s Raptor of the Week on Sept. 3.
