Running in only his second race of the fall semester, men’s cross country senior co-captain Alec Connelly was the individual winner at the Osprey Open Saturday at Richard Stockton College. His performance helped the Rutgers-Camden men’s team finish third out of seven teams and his time of 26:11.60 was 22 seconds faster than the second-place runner in the 94-man field. The clocking also was the 11th-fastest 8K time in program history. An All-NJAC First Team runner last season when he qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships, Connelly holds three of the top 11 8K times in program history.
