Grad student Brittany Turner became the 11th player to join the 1,000-point club in Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball history when she scored a game-high 19 points at the College of  Mount Saint Vincent Jan. 3. That performance lifted her total to 1,004 points at Rutgers-Camden and her overall career total to 1,061 points, including the 57 points she scored as a freshman at Felician College. Turner also added a game-high five steals, one shy of her career high. She continued her outstanding week with a team-high 17 points in a loss at Kean University Saturday, raising her Rutgers-Camden career total to 1,021 points. She needs 16 more points to tie Andrea Fogel (1986-89) for 10th on the program’s career list. For the week, she averaged 18.0 points and 6.0 rebounds.
