Stephanie Scarpa made her Rutgers-Camden debut as a member of the cross country program during the fall, running in three meets. She ran in the 5K Cabrini Invitational on Oct. 13, recording a 27:38.25 clocking to finish sixth on the Raptors, and then posted a third-place finish on the team two weeks later at the 6K NJAC Championships (37:18.94). In her final meet, at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals Nov. 10, she ran the 6K race in 31:24.7.
Scarpa came to Rutgers-Camden after a fine scholastic career as a student-athlete at Highland Regional High School. She earned four letters in soccer and two in cheerleading for the Tartans. She also was an Honors student who graduated 50th out of 275 in her class and was a member of the National Honor Society.
