A two-year letterman on the Rutgers-Camden baseball team, Joe Midili joined the golf program late in the 2006 fall season.
Midili played in 31 games for the Raptors’ baseball team in the 2006 season, starting 23 in the outfield. He led the team in stolen bases, stealing seven out of eight attempts, and added three doubles and nine RBIs.
After missing the entire 2004 season with a hand injury, Midili returned to baseball in 2005. He played in 29 games, making 17 starts, and posted a perfect fielding percentage, handling all 38 chances in the outfield without an error. He hit .250 with two doubles, two triples and one home run.
A two-year baseball letterman at Washington Township High School, Midili hit .337 with four doubles, two triples, two home runs, 18 runs and a team-leading 28 RBIs as a senior in 2003. He also had a .458 on-base percentage and a .489 slugging percentage for the 21-7 Minutemen, while earning First Team All-Olympic Conference American Division honors. He added Second Team All-Area from the Gloucester County Timesand Second Team All-Group 4 from the Courier-Post.
An Economics major at Rutgers-Camden, Joe is the son of Eileen and Joseph Midili of Sewell.
