Regina Williams competed in all six regattas for the Rutgers-Camden women’s crew team last spring, rowing the 3 seat on the Raptors’ Eight boat. The team recorded its best time of the season in a third-place finish at the finals of the Johns Hopkins Invitational April 15, notching a 6:48 clocking. The Raptors’ Eight also finished second at the Repechage Div. II and III Second Final at the Dad Vail Regatta May 13.
Williams also rowed the 3 seat for the Club Four boat at the Knecht Cup Regatta April 8-9.
Regina joined her older sister, Laura, on the Rutgers-Camden women’s crew team during the 2005 fall season, making her debut in the 5 seat on the Women’s Dad Vail Eight+ boat at the Navy Day Regatta (Oct. 15). She also rowed the 5 seat on the Women’s Club Eights at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta (Oct. 29).
A volunteer at a Camden after-school program and at her church, Regina is the daughter of Ruth and Robert Williams of Cherry Hill.
