Eric
Richardson appeared in 15 games during his
sophomore season at Rutgers-Camden, averaging
3.7 points, 1.0 rebounds and adding one steal,
one assist and one blocked shot. He started
four games late in the season, including a
home game against The College of New Jersey
(Jan. 17, 2007) in which he notched a career-high
eight points, aided by 2-for-4 shooting from
three-point range.
Richardson
also scored seven points against Widener
University (Jan. 5) and six against Juniata
(Jan. 3), while collecting a career-high
four rebounds at Rowan University (Jan. 10)
during the first start of his collegiate
career.
Richardson
joined the Scarlet Raptors late in the
second semester during the 2005-06 season,
appearing in four February games. He scored
one point, notched two rebounds and added
two steals in 28 minutes of playing time.
Richardson made his collegiate debut
at Montclair State University (Feb. 4, 2006) and collected two rebounds, both
off the defensive boards. He also added one steal. Richardson’s other
steal, and his one point, came in a game against New Jersey City University
(Feb. 15) in which he went 1-for-4 from the foul line.
Richardson played his scholastic
basketball at nearby Camden High School under legendary Head Coach Clarence
Turner. He also was an Honor Roll and Principal’s List student who was
a member of the Perfect Attendee Club.
In addition to playing basketball
at Rutgers-Camden, Richardson has served as a volunteer for various youth basketball
clinics.

Eric is the son of Brenda Richardson of Camden.
