Michael Rossi returns to the Rutgers-Camden baseball program this spring, two seasons after making his debut with the Scarlet Raptors. Rossi appeared in seven games during the 2006 campaign, with one at bat. He also collected one putout in his only defensive chance.
An outstanding student-athlete at Riverside High School, Rossi earned three varsity letters apiece in soccer and baseball, in addition to being a National Honor Society member and a Bloustein Scholar who ranked in the top five in his graduating class.
Rossi earned Second Team Burlington County League Freedom Division honors during both his junior and senior years for baseball coach Gary Herron. He also was a Second Team Freedom
Division player in soccer during both his junior and senior seasons.
Rossi is a Childhood Studies major, with a minor in Sociology. He plans to become a teacher and a coach.
Michael is the son of Michael and Kathleen Rossi of Riverside.
