Right-hander Jordan Cohen appeared in five games for the Scarlet Raptors during his freshman season in 2007, making one start, working 11-1/3 innings and posting a 1-1 record and a 6.35 ERA.

Cohen made his collegiate debut March 11 against powerful Johns Hopkins University, which finished 12th in the final Division III national rankings. Cohen worked one-third of an inning, allowing four hits, two walks and three earned runs, but he lowered his ERA in every appearance the rest of the season.

In his fifth and final appearance of the season, Cohen earned his first collegiate win with an outstanding relief stint against John Jay College of Criminal Justice April 24. With the Raptors trailing, 8-4, Cohen entered the game and hurled 4-1/3 innings of two-hit shutout relief, helping Rutgers-Camden rally for a 17-8 victory. He struck out two and didn’t walk a batter.

A two-year baseball letterman at Abington High School, Jordan is the son of Joel and Diane Cohen of Rockledge, Penn.
