Anthony Joseph Calderone was a multi-sport athlete at Collingswood High School, where he earned nine varsity letters in baseball, soccer and basketball. A catcher/outfielder, Calderone was named the baseball team’s Most Valuable Player and captured a pair of Second Team All-Colonial Conference honors during his scholastic career for Coach Rick Pentz. He also earned MVP honors for junior varsity soccer.
During his Collingswood career, Calderone was a Varsity Gold Athlete, a Gold Club Athlete, won a Captain Award, a Leadership Award and was named an Athletic Scholar Award winner. He also was recognized with a Civil Leadership Award.
A Mathematics major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to become a teacher and a coach, A.J. is the son of Tony and Karen Calderone of Collingswood.
