Al Casanova appeared in one varsity game during his first collegiate season with the Rutgers-Camden baseball team in 2007. He worked 2-1/3 innings in the Raptors’ win over John Jay College April 24, allowing six hits, seven runs and two walks. He struck out one.
A southpaw out of perennial baseball power Gloucester Catholic High School, Casanova was a three-year varsity letterman for Rams Head Coach Dennis Barth. He also was an Honor Roll student every year and was named to the Principal’s List.
